Money, Money, Money

Its amazing that the Yankees have spent 250 million dollars so far this offseason...and they aren't done. Two players AJ Burnett and C.C Sabathia have both signed extensive contracts. and the Yankees lead the race for offseason additions. Although the offseason has just begun several teams have added more players
Mets: JJ Putz, Francisco Rodriquez
Phillies: Raul Ibanez
Indians: Kerry Wood
These are just a few.

Weekend Recap

After the unprecedented upset of the New York Giants, the Philadelphia Eagles have put themselves into a good position to make it into the playoffs. If they are able to win out, they will finish 10-5-1 and have a great chance to make the playoffs. All they need is for the Falcons to lose one of their next three games which are against Tamba Bay (Week 15), Minnesota (Week 16) and St Louis Rams (Week 17), which seems pretty likely. Although the Dallas Cowboys have a better record as of right now, if the Eagles were to beat them in Week 17 they would make it into the playoffs. Even after the Giants lost, they still were able to clinch the division and are almost guranteed at least a first-round bye. My picks that I had last week I went 13-3 with, which is pretty good. Also, the Eagles will play Decemeber 15th against the Cleveland Browns on Monday Night, which promises to be a great game. \

In case you all don't know, I love Philadelphia sports teams. This year, the Phillies won the world series and brought the first major sports title (hockey, football, baseball, basketball) to Philly in 25 years! The Eagles are currently 6-5-1 and with one loss their chances of making the playoffs greatly decrease. But, the game still has to played as the suit up against the Giants at 1pm in the meadowlands for the most anticipated game of their season. If they were to win this game they would be 7-5-1 and have a great chance to win out after beating Cleveland Browns, Washington Redskins and the Dallas Cowboys. Although the season started with hope, the Eagles haven't played to the best of their abilities and are facing several problems.
Im still estastic over the Phillies world series title as they are know in their offseason and hoping to re-sign players as well as obtain some free agents. The main focus for the Phillies this offseason would be getting some better starting pitcher and signing some key components of their team to long term contracts.
The 76ers have being playing average but its still too early to tell where they will finish. The Flyers have been gaining some ground and both of these teams promise to make the rest of the regular season promising.
As I look forward to this Sunday's game I can only hope for the best. The Eagles always know how to make things interesting. If they were to win, the best case scenario would also be for the Atlanta Falcons, Chicago Bears and the Dallas Cowboys to lose, all of the teams could potentially stand in the way of the Eagles playoff chances.
Here are My Predictions for Week 14 Games (home team in Bold):
San Diego over Oakland
Chicago over Jacksonville
Minnesota over Detroit
Houston over Green Bay
Tennessee over Cleveland
Indianapolis over Cincinnati
New Orleans over Atlanta
Philadelphia over New York
Buffalo over Miami (game in Toronto)
Denver over Kansas City
New York Jets over San Francisco
New England over Seattle
Arizona over St. Louis
Pittsburgh over Dallas
Baltimore over Washington
Tampa Bay over Carolina
